TYPE 1 DIABETES SHOULDN'T
SIT ON THE BENCH.

i'm anne marie frohock, a registered dietitian helping athletes with type 1 diabetes fuel their sport, manage their glucose and play without fear.

the problem

You've watched a hypo cut a match short. You've done the 9pm maths on carbs, insulin, and tomorrow's training.
You've explained T1D to a coach who nodded but didn't get it.
Your child just wants to play.
You just want it to be safe.

Both are possible — with fuelling built for sport and Type 1.

who i work with

  • All athletes with Type 1 diabetes — from grassroots to competitive, any sport, all ages

  • Their parents — the ones actually managing the snacks, the sensors, and the sideline worry

  • Clubs, schools and teams — through talks and workshops

why me

I am

Registered Dietitian — HCPC-registered, BSc (Hons) Human Genetics, PGDip Nutrition and Dietetics, International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition. In the UK, "dietitian" is a protected title — it means regulated, evidence-based, and qualified to work with medical conditions.

Specialist, not generalist — My work focuses on the intersection of Type 1 diabetes, sport, and growing bodies.

Speaker & educator — I speak regularly at at conferences for health care professionals and workshops for people with T1D. I'm proud to be the current Chair of EXTOD (Exercise and T1D) leading a collaboration of expert doctors, dietitians, nurses, exercise physiologists, researchers and lived-experience experts, all working to improve and share understanding about T1D and exercise.

Athlete myself — A cyclist, qualified yoga instructor and gym goer, I understand the value of exercise for physical and mental health. I see how nutrition underpins exercise participation and performance.

how it works

Free intro call (20min)

You (and your child, if they'd like) tell me about your sport, your diabetes management, and what's hardest right now. If it feels right, we will book you in for your 50-minute consultation.

A plan that fits daily life

At your first consultation, we will create YOUR plan: Fuelling for training days, match days, and everything around them — built to work alongside your diabetes team, never replacing it.

Ongoing support

Check-ins as seasons, events, tech changes and growth spurts happen. I will keep your diabetes team updated with all the work we do together

what people say

  • "We were thrilled to have Anne-Marie join us at Runlimited for our talk, 'Fuelling Type One,' bringing together 30 type 1 diabetics from the running community. Anne-Marie was incredible - genuinely one of the most knowledgeable speakers we've had. Her expertise came through in every answer, and she had a way of making complex topics feel completely accessible. Every single person in that room left feeling inspired and encouraged. Thank you, Anne-Marie, for such a brilliant session!"

Jonty Brown, Founder of Runlimited and T1 Ultra-runner

  • "Anne Marie is the most talented and knowledgeable dietitian I have ever met. She is a national and international expert on diabetes and exercise and applies her knowledge to help individual patients in clinic. She adapts her approach to the patients' needs and is an indispensable member of the MDT [multidisciplinary team]."

    Diabetes Doctor, Current Colleague

  • “I just got back from Japan after cycling in the Wakayama region - lots of long climbs, monsoons, typhoons and a tsunami warning!

I found it a lot easier riding with a pump compared to my time there when on pens and in general I can see the pump is taking away a lot of the effort I used to put in to get above 70% TIR. I had your voice in head at times to trust the pump and see if insulin had stopped before eating again, so thank you for these simple words!

I somehow managed 78% TIR when I was there and the riding days were surprisingly smooth – my partner was happy we weren't having to stop as much for me to sort out my BGs.”
